He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day
This proverb is special to me. When I was younger, I always would fight with my sister. We would go at it like we were starving wolves fighting for food. Once we started, we couldn't stop. Our parents would have to threaten us to get us to stop. Not bad threatening, but like your gonna be grounded threatening. We would then storm off to seperate parts of the house and mope the rest of the day. My dad would always say, He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day. He would explain that if i started to realize we were fighting, i could be the tough one and back away from it. Just like it said, I would be the one to run away, but i'd be back to fight again. This inspired me, now I can just walk away no problem and stay away from fights.

Absence Poetry
It was gone,
not a warning at all,
just walk out,
down through the hall.
She left,
no clue why,
just left because,
Walking into the bright sky.
Death is crazy,
death is unknown,
never to know,
Its a sweater unsewn.
not a warning at all,
just walk out,
down through the hall.
She left,
no clue why,
just left because,
Walking into the bright sky.
Death is crazy,
death is unknown,
never to know,
Its a sweater unsewn.

Whenever i see this book, I remember when i was around 5 years old. I loved this book, it was the only one I could read, I had it memorized. Everyday I would come home from school and read that same exact book. I rememeber when my mom came in to read me a book and I told her i was gonna read her a book. She was so happy, I remember exactly what she said.
"Austin you've made me so proud."
That made me feel so great, I was making my mom proud.

S= S.A Engineering College
5 reasons i would like to attend
1. 24 staff have presented papers in conferences and 3 papers published in international journals. The staff is very knowledgable.
2. 73 Students won prizes in various events conducted in other colleges. The students learn and excell in the program.
3. They have many different options to select from.
4. I did not find the exacts, but enrollment is cheaper than anyone would expect for this school.
5. There is a diverse student body.
3 reasons i would not like to attend
1. The location.
2. Strict rules and regulations.
3. It was started in 1998, it is very new and might not be a great system or educational reference.

This article was about the use of tasers on the public. They say that Guilderland and Albany have over used tasers especially on blacks. This report stunned me. We are here worrying about tasers when the economy is going down the drain. $50,000 is a lot of money, but death is a lot more serious. They could have shot them and said they were doing something wrong, but the tased them. Whats the problem with that. If they aren't complying with the authority, the authority takes control, its been that way forever.

Love In Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
"It was inevitable" I said as we were running and running.
"We wil never out run him!" My friend screamed as we were taking the corner.
We had nowhere to go. I knew the next turn led to a fence. It was either we face it, or we jump the fence. I didn't know what to do. I was running so fast by the time it took the turn, I was on the fence climbing as fast as i could.
"We did it!" My friend was already on the other side, yelling and screaming because he was save. But I was still struggling. It was about 3 feet away when I finally fell to my feet on the other side. So i thought it was the other side. I had gotten stuck on one of the posts and i fell the wrong way. I turned my head and it was right in front of me.
"What should i do!" I asked my friend.
"Dont move" My friend said trying to calm me down.
He was searching for something, he was going to get his attention by throwing a rock, but as it landed behind it, the thing didnt move, this dog was not moving. Then all of a sudden with a leap, it jumped in my lapp and it started licking me. All it wanted was to be friends.

Vintage Photo
First Flight
This phot means words to me because I am looking forward to going to college for engineering. This was one of the biggest if not the biggest engineering ffeats of its time period. They worked on this for so long, and when they finally got it flying, everybody knew. Engineering has always interested me in the past. I have alwyays loved to work on things, take apart engines, make a bird house, as long as I was working I would be having a blast forhours and hours. I also biked a lot. This may not have any connection to the Wright brothers, but I always wondered why bikes can balance with us on them. As a kid I spent countless hours trying to steady my bike, but now I can ride with no hands. So why can it balance? Why could their plane fly without a motor or without some kind of power keeping it going? All it was was a couple sheets of strong fabric, some metal, and a platform for them to sit/lay on. These are answers i will eventually find out myself hopefully.

Poetry 180
Lesson
Forrest Hamer
It was 1963 or 4, summer, and my father was driving our family
from Ft. Hood to North Carolina in our 56 Buick.
We'd been hearing about Klan attacks, and we knew
Mississippi to be more dangerous than usual.
Dark lay hanging from the trees the way moss did,
and when it moaned light against the windows
that night, my father pulled off the road to sleep.
Noises
that usually woke me from rest afraid of monsters
kept my father awake that night, too,
and I lay in the quiet noticing him listen, learning
that he might not be able always to protect us
from everything and the creatures besides;
perhaps not even from the fury suddenly loud
through my body about his trip from Texas
to settle us home before he would go away
to a place no place in the world
he named Viet Nam. A boy needs a father
with him, I kept thinking, fixed against noise
from the dark.
It is a poem about the past. The poem explains the time of when racism was a big part of the country. If i hads to guess the line that said "We'd been hearing about Klan attacks, and we knew
Mississippi to be more dangerous than usual",was talking about the Ku Klux Klan. Racism was also huge in Mississippi. Although he did not use rhyme, I still cannot find anything else that he used besides just putting words into a poem. He did have ideas of how it was to be in that time period. How scary and dangerous it was.

Opinion Prompt Number 1.
Raising the pay of chief executive officers in bad economic times should be forbidden.
I do agree with this opinion. In my mind, when we give them money, it makes us look like we aren't even in their minds. It is like because we can't afford what they have, we shouldn't get more money. What makes it even worse is that when we are losing jobs, and losing money, and paying taxes, and even getting forclosed on our houses. We as americans need to come together and show these "rich" and 'wealthy" that there happen to be more important things like taxes, family, jobs, and school. I think that they need to start paying taxes and need to see how we live.

One day, when the preacher had plans, he walked down the stairwell to meet his date. But at the bottem, he remember he hadnt combed his hair. So he ran up the stairs and grabbed his comb. Upon going back down the stairwell, he remembered he forget his wallet. So once again he ran back up the stairwell and grabbed his coins. Opon openning the door, his date had left. He went back up the stairwell and did not return till the next day.
What good is a day...
What good is a day
With no sun or no rain
A kind of day
That nobody could explain.
What good is a day
With no plans
The lonely day
Of self pity.
What good is a day
When you get dumped by your girl
A crying and weeping day
Filled with no cheer.
What good is a day
Grounded in your room
Writing poems and such
Just wishing it could be over.
But what good is a day
Where everything goes perfect
That kind of day
Where the girl is the story
With no sun or no rain
A kind of day
That nobody could explain.
What good is a day
With no plans
The lonely day
Of self pity.
What good is a day
When you get dumped by your girl
A crying and weeping day
Filled with no cheer.

That kind of day
Where the girl is the story
