TU Tuesdays

The sound of cascading water crescendos through the valley as the creek swells over its rocky banks. -The figurative launguage is personification because its giving the creek a human like characteristic.

Sirens sounded in communities along the creek and fear ran rampant that the dam had failed. -The figurative language is personification because fear as an emotion cannot "run".

Hills of debris would litter the streets and shores. If the entire Schoharie Reservoir emptied, it would be like dropping 5 percent of Lake George into the valley. The force would have carved out the floor of the Schoharie Creek by dozens of feet in each direction. -The figurative language is personification because the piles cannot litter.
