Guest Speaker: Janinne Cammarata

She gave the audience a poise that she was comfertable by the way she interacted with us and made eye contect with us. She also at one point walked around the room. She always excepted any comments. She pronounced words very clearly and she used very easy and understandable points and ideas to draw in us as the listener. She spoke loudly so everyone could hear and if someone couldn't hear, she spoke louder. She had very good tips on how to become a writer and what is the easiest things to do to create a character bio and to figure out what your story should be about. She has us help her describe a bunch of pictures of people from a magazine and then had as try and put a story together. She always put the peices together to try and let us follow her in the discussion and when she was reading from the book, she explained what was going on after she was finished with what she had read.

I gave her my complete attention and made eye contact the whole time. Whenever she asked if anyone had questions, I would raise my hand if I had one. When I asked my question, I said it very loud and clear. I thought of questiions to ask her throughout the conversations to try and keep a mindset in order and to really capture the knowledge and experience.
