Photo Prompts

Won't let me on the website because it is blocked.

Celebrate

The movie/video that I watched on this photographer was excellent. It brought up great points on how we shoudl all view our goals and our life. At one point in the video, he says "Our inceptions are our perceptions, and our perceptions are our future." To me this wuote is very simple, you got to see it to belive it, and know what you are seeing is right. You have to believe that you can do it. He also brought up a great point about knowing just how much is enough. We as americans today, don't have very good patience. Well he brings up a valid point that the best things come when you wait. You have to know they are coming and wait for them.

The Music Of My Life

The two songs that I could compare is "I Wont Let Go" by Rascall Flatts and "Skyway Avenue" by We The Kings.

the two quotes I related were, "I will stand by you" from I Wont Let Go and "I'd leave it all for you" from Skyway Avenue.

The reason I picked these two lines is because to me, they explain my life. I had extreme depression problems a little over a year ago and these songs helped me get through the roughest part of life i've experienced but I know I had all my friends to support me and I love them all greatly for being here for me and this whole thing helped me realize who was true and who was fake.

9. Do curfews keep teens out of trouble?

I do not think curfews are a good idea, mainly because all we want to do when we ahve a curfew is get back after it to piss you guys off to show that we don't care if we have one.
If I was ever to agree on a curfew, I would make it late enough that they would not get mad at me for making one.
I would also ask them what time they would like their curfew so they have some say in it, but I say that now as a child experiencing it, im sure that view will change.
I think parents need to understand that the more they control us, the more it pushes us to do bad things.

    Santa Clara University

If you could go back and change one day in your life, what would you change and why?

I would go back to the day that I bowled at states, it isnt that I would want to change it completely because it was one of the funnest couple days I had. All the people I went with, the friends I made. But I would like to change the way I bowled. i was not bowling smart, I did not make the right decisions on the lanes and should have done something different earlier.

43 My Day Job Versus My Passion

My day job is working on a farm, yeah, it brings in the money, but what I really would rather do is bowl. Since I was about 5 I have bowled with my dad and my sister. I was not that interested in the beginning, but then I realized I could go somewhere with this. I am now currently the number one bowler on my sunday travel team and this year went to states to bowl for the section two all star team, qualifyed through sectionals. I just recently recieved a letter stating that I am being scouted already by a scout for the east coast. This is big for me seen as I am only a sophmore and have two more years to improve. I will still work but i will mostly be practicing for the big day I could possibly go pro.

Turn an ing blot into a butterfly

When I was about 9, I broke a very memerable vase that my mom had, as a little kid, I was frightened and scared to death my mom was gonna kill me. So I took it and through it in the woods, I thought, maybe she wouldn't notice. But then she came and asked me if I did something to it. I answered, no, did you put it away?
A couple days later, she still hadn't found it, I was being eaten alive by the guilt, I felt terrible, I had lyed to her and I knew she knew I did it. I had to tell her
I had finally got the courage and I went up and said, "Mom, I broke your vase... I'm so sorry I didn't tell you the truth, I just didn't want you to get mad at me." She was so surprised that I said something, She wasn't even mad.
After all that, we hugged and everything was normal.

    The Rich and Famous

The singer that I am going to talk about is Rascall Flatts. When I was going through a "rough" part of life, one of his songs helped me get through it all. The song was called "I Wont Let Go". Here is the chorus.

    I will stand by you,
    I will help you through,
When you've done all you can do,
    And you can't cope,
    I will dry your eyes,
    I will fight your fight,
    I will hold you tight,
    And I wont let go.

When I went to Four Winds for help mentally, my friend called me, and this is all she said. When your at the lowest point of your life, you truly don't know how much it means to have someone do something so little for you. I can still remember that phone call like I am just answering the phone. I'll never forget what she di for me, how much I love her for doing that, and she will never know truly how much it meant to me.

Rascall Flatts is a three man band, they have been playing together since 1999 and are still playing strong today. They were based out of Columbus, Ohio. 11 out of their 32 single releases have made it into the billboard top 20 or higher.

My favorite actor is Seth Macfarlane. When I watch all his shows, all I can do is laugh. His jokes are some of the best i've ever heard.
Seth Macfarlane was born October 26, 1973 in Kent, Connecticut. He started doing what he does in 1995. He is best known for his show Family Guy and will be making a movie called "ted" which is coming out soon.

My Favorite actress is Kristen Stewart and the movie I saw her in was Twilight(yes I watched twilight, my ex-gf made me). She is very pretty and it seemed like if I read the book I could see that she would be the girl in the book.
Kristen Stewart is best known for her acting in The Twilight Saga. She was born April 9, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. Her parents were into the film industrie also.

    Music Is Life

This song is called My Immortal by Evanescense.

    "My Immortal"
I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

    [Chorus:]
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
    But you still have
    All of me

    You used to captivate me
    By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
    Your face it haunts
    My once pleasant dreams
    Your voice it chased away
    All the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

    [Chorus]

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me
    I've been alone all along

    [Chorus]

The reason I picked this song and picture is very simple. I feel that it explains perfectly my past and telling me how great of a future I can make out of the worst of things.

    Behind The Masterpieces

    Da Vinci: Last Supper

I first came about the idea of this picture at one of our family reunions. During these reunions we would all kind of have our seperate groups and right before we ate, we would pray. The person that paryed would always be my dad. He always sat right in the middle of the table as kind of like a midiator. He would go around the table and ask everyone what they would like him to pray about and at the end, he would always say "and god we will eat this as if it was our last supper". That is how I came about the name "The Last Supper".

"We need to start acting like a country, ... It`s up to us to lead the world."

To me, Barbara writes a lot about what she sees around her. She is very observent and thinks of things as one of us before writing what she writes.

    When I'm angry...

When I'm angry I usually like to go work out. The reason is I can get my stress out in a way that I am not hurting anyone and it benefits me anyways. I don't really get angry a lot but when I do, expect me to be outside sweating my butt of and lifting weights. I also like to punch a punching bag but I don't have gloves yet so I have pretty much no feeling in my knuckles anymore.

Movies Can Do More Than Entertain

I watched the movie "Facing The Giants" and it changed me. The movie is about a coach who is trying to bring christianity to his football team. When his team fanilly falls into the whole christianity thing, they make an unstoppable run to the title game against the best team in the world, the Giants. It was 64 players against the small 18 man team. The last play was a 50 yard feild goal to win the game, but it was left up to the rookie kicker who has only made 3/4 20 yarders. The kid doesnt believe it but when he prays to god that he would win it, the wind direction changed in his favor and blew the ball straight into the uprights winning the game. I've alway sbelieved in god, but this movie told me that I wasnt involved enough with god, I thought about getting baptised, but i am going to wait till im absolutly certain its what I want.

    TU Tuesday - Presidential Speeches

Goerge Washingtons Farewell address impacted the world in the way like no other, it changed the country.

“...overgrown military establishments, which, under any form of government, are inauspicious to liberty, and which are to be regarded as particularly hostile to Republican Liberty.”
to me this quote would have sparked an arguement between republican and democratic parties. I feel that Washington wanted to stop with all the fighting and just worry about the country instead of killing people.

    NCBI

They definitly nailed the dot on the first bullet, we took almost half of our time there looking at every different group and learned about it. I never really had a problem with being a bully myself, but I was bullied because of my group. And me and the people in my group got to share how we felt and it felt good to let it all out. We didn't really talk a lot about the second bullet, but they definitly didnt forget it, we went over how you should act and what you should do. They taught us a lot of being proud for our group because we are who we are, nobody can change that. When Nadine and a couple others shared their stories, it was very brave and it showed me a lot, people are very cruel and don't reall;y care about others feelings and it hurt to know that someone could do that much damage to one person. We learned some hands-on tools like going to the administration (doesn't work) and going to your teachers and to let them know what is going on.

    Green Blog

    It's not easy being green
    blending with the leaves
and when I walk by a shrub
    Im just unseen

    It's not easy being green
    everybody thinks i'm very lucky
they ask me for my pot of gold
and ask me for a treat or two
and maybe even a couple wishes

I may be green but you know what else
what about the guy over there
    the girl over here
    or the lady over there
why does it have to be me

But something great about being green
I always have attention on me
I always have a couple bucks
I always have a lot of friends
I always have a pot of luck
Most of all, I like to be green.

    7. Save the world: Because it would just be straight up awsome to save the world.

    8. Found a town: So I could say im the one that founded that town.

"The reality is the county is close to running out of money. We need to borrow to keep cash flowing," McCoy said.

The article I read is about privatizing nursing homes. basically telling elderly people, we are not funding you anymore. After reading the quote that is above, I was in shock. If we are so out of money, why do you keep building things? We can pay billions in tax dollars and it can't even go to our relatives and elders? It's inhuman to take away nursing home fundings because they can't live on their own, that is why they are there.

    Guest Speaker: Janinne Cammarata

She gave the audience a poise that she was comfertable by the way she interacted with us and made eye contect with us. She also at one point walked around the room. She always excepted any comments. She pronounced words very clearly and she used very easy and understandable points and ideas to draw in us as the listener. She spoke loudly so everyone could hear and if someone couldn't hear, she spoke louder. She had very good tips on how to become a writer and what is the easiest things to do to create a character bio and to figure out what your story should be about. She has us help her describe a bunch of pictures of people from a magazine and then had as try and put a story together. She always put the peices together to try and let us follow her in the discussion and when she was reading from the book, she explained what was going on after she was finished with what she had read.

I gave her my complete attention and made eye contact the whole time. Whenever she asked if anyone had questions, I would raise my hand if I had one. When I asked my question, I said it very loud and clear. I thought of questiions to ask her throughout the conversations to try and keep a mindset in order and to really capture the knowledge and experience.

After reading about this author, I cannot wait for her to come in. I love reading about fantasy and fiction novels. They have always intrigued me and it is the only genre I will read. When i was younger i always read things about monsters and demons and things we all knew weren't real, but hey, everyone has their imagination.

“Janine De Tillio Cammarata dreams us back into an age of wars and intrigues among gods, mortals and faerie folk in old Ireland, and reminds us that ancient dramas can interplay with modern lives."

After reading that quote on the website, I knew i'd want to read this book.

"She and her family live in upstate New York with their lab/akita mix Zoey Shadow."

After finding out that she lived in the Upstate, I was thrilled to ask her questions on where she lived and grew up.

    Where to you grow up?
What was your favorite part about writing the book?

    W= Wendy's

Well wendy's is one of my favorite fast food places to go. One reason is because they have food that isnt fake and it is kind of healthy for you while at the same time resembling what is "fast food". Now-a-days, people classify fast food as something bad for you. Well any pizza place that you pick up stuff is fast food because just what "fast food" means, YOU GET IT FAST. I absolutly hate when people say "ew you eat fast food". Well duh! I dont want to wait there for it. Anyways, one of the best things on Wendy's menu is got to be the chicken sandwich. It has fried chicken, mayo, lettace, tomato, and then onions if you would like. Also another great thing to order is their milkshakes, I love their milkshakes.

    Valentines Day

I know he loves me because he is my dog He will always be there for me no matter and he always knows just the right thing to make me smile. He always comes when i want him to and he always licks my face when I want a kiss.

    Take Your Best Shot

Write about a time where you thought you were out of something, and in the end you were always in it to begin with.

About 2 weeks ago, I was bowling in a tournament. We bowled a six game qualifier for the first round. After 4 games, i was -100. In terms you may understand, it means I was 100 pins under 800 pins for 4 games. I thought for sure I was done. They were only going to take 10 people and there was 34 trying out. I was not confident at all. My dad pulled me aside, and ill never forget what he said, "Your the best at what YOU do, your skills will never be greater than your thoughts, but they can be pretty damn close". Now at the time, I didn't know a thing he was talking about, but after that game, i know what he meant. Your mental stage sets the standard for how you perform. And I was in no mental state to perform. After 5 I was -79. I bowled a better 5th game, but I knew the next one was mine. The sixth game I fired a 279 putting me in first place at 0. This tought me a lot, my dad made me better at what I do by simply saying a sentence. I ended up coming in 4th place for the whole tournament because of an injury, I tore open my thumb and i could barely bowl, but I kept on going and lost by 10 pins in the step ladder match to one of my good friends. It was the best day ive had in a while.

    I usually ask

    Oppertunities
    beyond my comprehension
    I wonder how it started
A neighbor’s six year old child finds $30 on your driveway and gives it to you.  No one claims it.  Do you give the money to the child?

Yes, I would give the money to the child because as a child, when I found money, I would take it and run. But if the kid came to me and said, "I found this money in your driveway, here you go". That would touch my heart.

The sound of cascading water crescendos through the valley as the creek swells over its rocky banks. -The figurative launguage is personification because its giving the creek a human like characteristic.

Sirens sounded in communities along the creek and fear ran rampant that the dam had failed. -The figurative language is personification because fear as an emotion cannot "run".

Hills of debris would litter the streets and shores. If the entire Schoharie Reservoir emptied, it would be like dropping 5 percent of Lake George into the valley. The force would have carved out the floor of the Schoharie Creek by dozens of feet in each direction. -The figurative language is personification because the piles cannot litter.
